SSE SEAGREEN STILLS 26

Summer School to be held at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland in Summer 2026

SSE Pacifico (SSEP) is pleased to announce the launch of the "SSE Pacifico Offshore Wind Scholarship Programme" for Summer 2026.

As SSEP promotes the development of offshore wind power in Japan, we consider it our mission to contribute to the sustainable growth of local communities and to nurture the next generation of leaders with a global perspective.

To embody this mission, SSEP organises a two-week summer school in Scotland, where the SSE Group is headquartered. Participants will experience the forefront of renewable energy through site visits to operational offshore wind farms in Scotland—a leading region for the industry—and by attending STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) focused classes at our partner institution, the University of Edinburgh.

This program is also implemented as part of MUSUBI Initiative, a Japan-UK public-private partnership. By strengthening UK-Japan relations and providing exposure to diverse values, this aims to support the emergence of new leaders capable of solving social challenges.
